Steve Fitzgerald is our Contracts Manager at Morris Churchfield
Steve joined Morris Churchfield in July 2014, with responsibilities for managing the fire alarms and fire safety systems including sprinkler/ansul systems, fire extinguishers, mansafe systems, dry risers and lightning protection systems at the University of Bristol.
With 26 years in manufacturing/production and 12 years in building management, Steve has a great deal of experience and knowledge of management systems and processes. He has worked as an engineer in several manufacturing facilities, then deciding to take on management role and became a Shift Manager within the beer/beverage and aerosol producing industries.
Steve left manufacturing in 2005, and has worked for the likes of LG Bailey, Haden Building Management, Integral, Mitie and the University of the West of England.
Steve is a fully qualified engineer after achieving a four year mechanical apprenticeship with Hoover and studying at Merthyr Tydfil Technical College, gaining City and Guilds qualifications in mechanical engineering, hydraulic/pneumatic control systems and electronics. Steve is also a Member of the British Institute of Facilities Management (MBIFM)
